At 3:02 a.m., officers were on patrol when they noticed an interior light on in a driveway on Woodland Avenue, Verona police said in a release. As police approached the vehicle, they observed Hamzah Williams, a 21-year-old Anvel resident inside the front passenger seat, officers said.
Williams had previously been arrested by police in 2022 for burglarizing 34 vehicles over a 4-day span, officers said.
He was charged with burglary and issued a summons for a September court date, police said.
